A bit of good news amid all the startling developments in the Coronavirus situation. From today, March 10th, the remaining 68 guests at the H10 Costa Adeje Palace in Tenerife are free to leave the hotel following the end of the 14-day quarantine period imposed on February 24th after an Italian tourist was diagnosed with Covid 19. A further four Italians and one British guest also contracted the disease.
They must have tested negative in the last 24 hours and have no symptoms. And then hopefully they can book a flight with their operators or another airline and travel home – where they will have to self-isolate.
A British guest at the hotel, who got home at the weekend, said, “Through the nightmare of the stay, I would like to say the staff at the hotel were exceptional. Working in such difficult conditions they were so considerate and kept people’s spirits up, they were the real heroes.”
The cordons have been removed from around the hotel and guests are cheering and applauding the staff who looked after them as they leave the property in Costa Adeje to start their journey home.
