According to a hosteltur report today, tickets for the direct high-speed trains between Paris and Barcelona are now available.
Operated by Renfe and SNCF, the service starts on December 15. There are two trains a day each way. Trains leave Paris (Lyon station) at 7.15 am and 2.07 pm, arriving in Barcelona (Sants station) at 1.40 pm and 8.40 pm. From Barcelona, the service departs at 9.20 am and 4.20 pm, arriving in Paris at 3.53 pm and 10.45 pm.
Single tickets start at €59. I just had a look at the Renfe website, which gives all the basic information about the new route but, surprise surprise, hasn’t actually managed to stick the service on its booking system yet. I then tried the new European train booking site Loco2, where it all seems very straightforward, with fares from £53 – even on the first train on December 15. Brilliant!
As usual for all things train-related, it’s always worth looking at Seat61 for the latest developments too.
Hey welcome to Barcelona people .
